"I have always enjoyed making gifts for my family and friends. Painting with watercolors has opened a new world of creativity. Painting brings me so much joy! Playing with paint and creating new colors is such a gift. Being in nature and painting nature is my ‘happy place.’

I prefer to paint flowers and gardens but I also paint landscapes and seascapes for exercise. I enjoy painting flowers in blue vases since blue is my favorite and I can create so many variations of blue. I paint for joy- not precision or perfection. I usually have an idea of what I want to paint, but not always. I mix colors and put bruish to paper and allow that to guide me.

‘Mistake ‘ is not in my vocabulary when I paint, but I do ‘detour’ from my original ideas frequently! It keeps me on my toes to create something ‘else’. I have recently started using black ink to outline my paintings- I am enjoying this phase a lot.

Basically, I paint what I like and what makes me happy. I like to share my paintings and I hope my art will inspire, soothe and bring joy to everyone that sees it."
