"Balance," Acrylic on canvas, 135 x 95 cm

"My works explore the expressive potential of the human figure and face as vessels of psychological and spiritual states. The two angel drawings from 2024, executed in pen, rely on energetic line work and strong contrasts of light and shadow. Through dense black fields and cross-hatched forms, the figures appear suspended between vulnerability and transcendence, suggesting moments of spiritual tension and ascent.

The 2020 acrylic painting Balance introduces a symbolic dimension. In black and white, it presents Hermes Trismegistus holding a pendulum above a meditating yogi whose skull-like face suggests detachment from individual identity. Roots extend from the yogi’s lower body while branches rise behind him, linking earth and sky. The seven chakras and surrounding layers of aura evoke inner energy and equilibrium, reflecting the search for harmony between spiritual knowledge and embodied existence.

Together, these works move between observation and symbolism, exploring the human form as a site where psychological depth, spiritual aspiration, and metaphysical inquiry intersect."
