"Distant Places 3," Oil based colored pencil, 30 x 20 cm

"The eternal flesh, from the very moment of its birth, embarks on the path toward death. In the continuous process of self-correction, we bear countless heavy shackles. As the crisis of existence brought by the dissolution of the flesh looms, we seem powerless—seeking only metaphysical refuge in dreams. But when the dream awakens, the sanctuary of our flesh vanishes as well.

It turns out that everything in the cosmos is so insignificant.

Human life bears too many responsibilities. In different spaces and times, we play countless important roles. Tiredness and heartache, helplessness and powerlessness, vanity and compulsion— it seems we have no choice but to exist in this way.

Only in dreams can we step into our own world and complete a redemption not swayed by the outside world.

The 'Distant Land' series is a series of works I created. Through the form of a person looking towards the distance accompanied by their beloved pet, it expresses a touch of melancholy while also facing the hope of the distant future that always brings us dreams. It is like a beam of light in the night, encouraging us to bravely
pursue our dreams."
